PEI Group is proud to announce that two of its editorial team members, Katrina Lau and Alex Lynn, have been recognised for journalistic excellence at the 2024 State Street Institutional Press Awards Asia-Pacific, which honour outstanding financial reporting across the region.

Katrina Lau, a Hong Kong-based reporter at Private Equity International, was named Pensions Journalist of the Year for her in-depth investigation into how one of Malaysia’s largest pension funds is expanding its private equity exposure. Her work stood out for its clarity, depth, and insight into institutional investment strategy. Katrina was also highly commended in two additional categories: Newcomer of the Year and Editorial Comment of the Year, underscoring her rising influence in financial journalism.

Alex Lynn, Hong Kong Bureau Chief at PEI Group, received the award for Best Editorial Comment, recognised for his sharp analysis of Japanese and Korean LP appetite for NAV (Net Asset Value) financing.

These recognitions reflect PEI Group’s ongoing commitment to delivering high-quality, deeply researched journalism that informs and shapes the global private capital industry.
