Responsible Investor, a leading publication focused on ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) issues, has received multiple recognitions across two prominent journalism awards programmes, reflecting its ongoing contribution to high-quality reporting in sustainable finance and institutional investment.

At the 2024 Aviva Investors Sustainability Media Awards, Responsible Investor was named “Publication of the Year”. The award recognises exceptional editorial standards and a consistent commitment to reporting on sustainability. The “Publication of the Year” category honours the best overall media outlet—whether national, institutional, retail, or specialist—that has consistently delivered high-quality, insightful journalism focused on sustainability over the past year.

In addition to the top award, Responsible Investor was highly commended in the “Institutional Publication of the Year” category.

Gina Gambetta, a journalist at Responsible Investor, received the “Biodiversity Article of the Year” award for her reporting on biodiversity-related financial issues.

Separately, at the 2024 State Street UK Institutional Press Awards, Responsible Investor journalist Khalid Azizuddin was named “Breaking News Journalist of the Year.” Now in their 23rd year, the State Street awards recognise excellence in UK-based financial journalism across categories including regulation, pensions, ESG, and sustainable finance. Winners are selected by an independent panel of six judges comprising senior journalists and institutional finance professionals.

The “Breaking News Journalist of the Year” category highlights timely, accurate reporting of significant developments relevant to institutional audiences.
